Ashfall

Four to six models a side. One statistic. Six-sided dice. About forty minutes on a two foot square.

Ashfall is a free skirmish game that fits on a single page. Every model has one number, Grit, which is both how hard it fights and how much it can take, so a wounded model fights worse and nothing ever heals. Three relics sit down the centre line and the ash keeps rising. On round three visibility closes in. On round five the air turns and everything on the table starts to wear down. On round seven the game ends, whatever state it is in.

There is no army list to buy into and no faction to commit to. A warband is 8 Grit spread across four to six models, none above Grit 3, and that is the whole of list building. Use whatever miniatures you already own, at whatever scale you own them.

This download includes the two page rules and a print and cut counter sheet: the Ashfall track, 20 Grit chits, Brace chits, ash markers, relic tokens and two range sticks printed at true size.
